Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

The rooms are a good size, the pool is nice, and there’s a convenience store nearby. Staff were friendly and polite, and breakfast was good, though basic. One thing for anyone sensitive to scents: they empty a bottle of air freshener into the rooms. The smell soaked into the towels, bedding, pillows, and even the plastic-wrapped paper cups. It gave me a massive headache. Opening the doors and windows didn’t clear it, and there was no way to escape the smell.

We arrived late at night after a tiring drive from Ottawa, but it took about an hour and a half to finally get our fob. The receptionist was new and kept asking us for the same details, then called his “boss.” When we tried to explain our side, the so-called “boss” wouldn’t even listen. I wouldn’t come back or recommend this place.

The room was immaculate, very clean, and comfortable. The front desk was helpful, and the location works well for travellers.

We stopped here on our way to Nova Scotia and got a chance to rest before driving again the next day. The heated outdoor pool was lovely for a swim and some downtime. It’s an affordable hotel in a perfect location.
