We stayed in the secondary building a few doors down, which came as a surprise since the hotel photos don't fully match the property. The room was very nice and clean, with a shared kitchen that was meant for two rooms. It seemed quite a few more people were using it. Our food was fine, and there were lots of kitchen tools, which was nice. The main building had a lovely terrace, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The location was pretty good, with plenty within walking distance. The staff were very nice and helpful, and spoke good English and French. The hotel says it has onsite parking, but spaces are very limited and none were available when we arrived. Staff suggested the underground lot across the road at ITHQ, which was cheap at 20$ a day and felt very secure.

Convenient for night owls, but the price was hard to justify. The hotel was clean and adequate, yet nowhere near worth what we paid. St. Denis' midnight revelers, 4 a.m. screamers, and 5 a.m. garbage collectors are outside the hotel's control, and soulless plastic-framed inspirational posters aren't a dealbreaker by themselves. But having to pay extra for parking, while spa access also isn't included in the already very high price, made all those irritations pile up. It felt like sleeping in an IKEA showroom, only noisier.

The hotel felt dated and neglected, and there was a strong disinfectant smell as I came in. I stayed two nights. On the first, I spotted a large fly in my room, but I was too tired to do anything and went to sleep. The next morning, I called my mother internationally from the lobby. A staff member told me to leave and find a café or restaurant, saying I was too loud. I'd never experienced a hotel lobby where guests couldn't make calls, and the way it was handled was upsetting. Later, my friend and I went to the spa, where staff repeatedly insisted on absolute silence even though most guests were quietly talking. The second time, staff tried to make us leave again, and it turned into an actual conflict. We told the spa manager, who apologized and gave us a $20 voucher. We then explained the whole situation to hotel reception and asked for a partial refund. They promised a free spa treatment as compensation. We accepted, but left the hotel and waited four days without any further response. Update: After I posted this review, the hotel manager proactively arranged a complimentary thermal circuit experience for us, which we enjoyed on July 26. Thank you for the courtesy and responsiveness. This time our spa visit went smoothly and the staff were attentive.

The spa was a highlight, and the General Manager deserves a special mention for being so kind and attentive. We spent two weeks here and had a genuinely excellent stay. Everyone on staff was friendly, and breakfast was perfectly adequate to get the day started. Highly recommend it for a comfortable visit.

The room was cozy, but there were no extras like a toothbrush. The evening shift ladies were rude, and noise from St Denis Street made it hard to sleep.
