For Montreal, where nightly rates elsewhere are astronomically high, I think this hotel is worth the money. The staff were kind, friendly, and informative, and they were easily the best part of the stay. I’m sharing the rest so people can decide for themselves. We had an “Executive Suite” on the top floor, but it felt like an ordinary hotel room. I’d be curious to see what a regular room is like. Some things in the room need attention: the bottom of the sliding bathroom door looks badly cut and could use planing and repainting. There seemed to have been water damage along the bottom two inches of the bathroom; the new tile was nicely done, but the wood looked like it had been painted over the damage. Some of the new towels had stains and could have been bleached more. There was also a cut toenail on the bed linen that wasn’t ours, which made me wonder about the laundry service.

We stayed three nights in a condo and found it well equipped for making breakfast, with utensils, a frying pan, and a toaster. If you’re on foot, there are plenty of places to eat within a ten-minute walk. The morning cleaning was very good and the room was nice and clean. Reception service was great both during the day and later on. Since I don’t speak French, I really appreciated them arranging all my taxis.

The location worked out okay, with lots of Asian food nearby, though getting to either Georges-Vanier or Lucien-L’Allier metro took about 10 minutes on foot. The room looked much nicer in the online photos. In person it felt dated, with odd, unappealing art, and the gym was in rough shape: the machines didn't work, and the pulldown machine had fake weights. We booked a condo room for three nights, but weed and cigarette smells kept us from sleeping, and we found many stains on the bedding and blankets. It was the worst hotel stay I've had.

We booked a room with two queen beds, but one comforter was so worn that its cotton filling had clumped into little lumps, leaving what was basically two pieces of fabric. The front desk couldn't help after several calls, and when I went down in person, they gave me a mattress cover instead because they had no comforters or blankets left. It was late, so I used it and asked again politely the next day. Somehow they made things worse by taking the good comforter from the other bed and replacing it with another bad one. Avoid this place.

I was in Montreal for work and would gladly stay here again if I could. The location suited everything I needed to do in the city, and my spacious room and workstation made it easy to get things done. I don't stay in hotels often, but I got the proper rest I needed here. The front desk team were kind, welcoming, and helpful. When I arrived badly jetlagged, Luis got me checked in as soon as a room was available, then helped me arrange the lift I needed at the end. My other interactions with the desk staff were lovely too. Thank you.
