Moosomin Country Squire Inn

The noodles, number 20, were a real hit, and we enjoyed the beef Korean roll too. We tried number 3 fried chicken, which was very nice and hot, while the number 19 crispy chicken with mayo was just okay. It felt like a feast, and the portions seemed affordable to me. Best Asian food around here.

The front desk service was excellent. The gentleman was patient and kind while we had trouble booking through Expedia. For next time, payment is due at check-in, not through Expedia. The rooms were clean and had the basics, plus a mini fridge and coffee maker. It was all we needed for a quick stop and sleep on our travels, and worth the price.

It was my first night in Moosomin, and I was impressed by how quickly and warmly the staff helped with anything I needed. Manager June made the stay feel comfortable and cared for. I’d recommend the place to anyone passing through Moosomin, and I’ll stay again if I’m in the area.

My wife and I broke down on a Sunday, and I suggested this motel because I’d stayed here by myself a few times over the years without anything really negative to say. My last visit was probably 10 years ago. This time neither of us was impressed. The room smelled, wasn’t very clean, and was one of those places where you don’t want to walk around barefoot. The photo is of our little buddy visiting the bathroom in the morning. As someone else mentioned, the building doesn’t feel secure at night because there’s no staff from 11pm to 7am. It was disappointing for $85. At $50 a night, some things might have been easier to forgive.
