This place is a shelter now, not a hotel. One of the occupants was really nice. He retired about eight months ago and has been trying to find somewhere to live, but everything is taken and he has no place to call home. It sucks, and it’s sad.
It’s about 20 minutes from both the airport and downtown, and it’s very affordable. My room had paint peeling all over, and the bathroom door lock didn’t work. If you just need somewhere to sleep on a budget, this motel is a good fit. For lounging or a more comfortable stay, you may want to look elsewhere.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. I’d stay here whenever I got the chance. Looking forward to seeing it once the renovations and upgrades are finished.
It’s a cheap, clean place to stay when you’re in St Johns. The hotel is showing its age, though, and could use a good facelift.
The rooms are comfortable but still old and in need of renovation. Work is currently underway in the reception area, and the bathrooms are still pretty good.
