A comfortable, clean stay at a good price. The beds were just right, not too soft, and room service was excellent. Staff were friendly. They would have cleaned daily, but we said we didn’t need housekeeping or fresh towels each day, just coffee :-) I was glad to find a blow dryer, coffee machine, microwave and fridge in the room. The location’s ideal too, with the harbour and downtown within walking distance. We’d definitely come back.

If you want somewhere clean, cheap and comfortable, this might suit you. I travel with a pet, though, and that meant getting a substandard room. There was a pet fee.

We stayed three nights. The room was reasonably clean and comfortable, but signing in at the office was painfully slow and frustrating. I booked through Expedia and paid cash for the room, but they wouldn’t let me pay the $200 deposit by credit card. They only accepted cash, which struck me as odd. I got the deposit back the night before we left because the office wasn’t open early enough for us to check out then. They went into the room twice while we were out, including to clean and change the bedding, even though we’d told them not to do housekeeping and to stay out. My things had been moved and touched. It felt like a complete invasion of privacy. They also turned off the AC, so after a long day in 30-degree heat we came back to a hot, humid room. We had to wait for it to cool before bed. The AC was too loud to sleep with, and opening the windows wasn’t an option given the location. The area felt sketchy, with lots of drug activity. My sister was harassed in the parking lot, and people trying to open our door woke us in the middle of the night. I wouldn’t stay here again.

They added an extra charge to my Mastercard without telling me, then wouldn’t answer when I called. I had to use a different phone before they picked up. The desk clerk couldn’t find the reservation we’d booked, but they’d charged my card the extra fee and canceled our booking while we were on the way there. Be careful.
