The quiet atmosphere and great service made our one-night stay at Long Lake Inn in Nanaimo so relaxing. Monique recommended an excellent room with a lovely lake view. We’re especially grateful for how warm and helpful she was with our reservation, and for her professionalism too. She really made a difference, and the hotel is lucky to have her. We’d love to return someday. Highly recommended! 🥳😊

I love the sunrises over the lake here, and it’s such a good spot when I’m in Nanaimo. The beds and pillows are comfy, the place has been upgraded, and it stays quiet. We also appreciate being able to bring our pets: there’s green space around the property for quick walks and a longer trail nearby that follows part of the lake.

We had a lovely lake view from our spacious one-bedroom suite, which worked perfectly for us during our week-long October stay. The room looked a little dated, but it was comfortable enough to earn five stars from me, and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in, apart from my own. Breakfast was great, and the attendant was especially friendly and helpful. The staff were wonderful and accommodating, too. We’d happily stay again when we visit our son and daughter-in-law.

The breakfast was the highlight for me, with lots to choose from, including tasty bagels, yogurt, and a waffle maker. Everyone working there was really friendly. Our room was clean and had what we needed, though it felt a little dated. The $10 parking charge seemed a bit steep when the car park was nearly empty.

That lake view from our deck was amazing, and the service made the two-night stay even better. The staff were patient and generous, even bringing more coffee to our room right away when we ran out. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. I hadn’t expected breakfast, so the big continental spread was a nice surprise: croissants, waffles, eggs, fruit, and plenty of other extras. This has become our first choice among the hotels we’ve stayed at so far. We’d recommend it to anyone after a peaceful nature setting and warm, generous service.
