After we checked out, they charged more than the rate on our Expedia reservation and refused to honor the price I booked. We’d also been told after booking that a train runs right behind the hotel and passes in the middle of the night, with a loud horn at 5am every morning. Earplugs were provided. The roof repairs were another concern they raised after booking, saying they wouldn’t book the upper floors to reduce noise in the rooms. But the real problem wasn’t roof noise. From 7am on, large vehicles idled right outside our patio door, and their exhaust came into the room through the wall-mounted AC unit, making it unbearable to stay there.

The beds were comfortable, the service was wonderful, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It felt like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to family and friends travelling through.

We booked two rooms in person under my coworker name, and both were equally filthy. We were out the door within five minutes, asking for a refund. Dead bugs were scattered on the floor throughout the hotel, and there was even one in the bed. The sheets looked unwashed despite the bed being made for the next guest, and the bedding had stains and human hair. The shower and toilet were dirty too, with visible hair and stains. They only tell you about the train track right behind the hotel, which runs in the middle of the night, after you’ve paid. They do provide earplugs, though. At this price, it was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had. Avoid it unless you like sleeping in a stranger’s filth.

The room was tiny, with no closet, and you had to leave the bathroom to change your mind. The listing mentioned a pool and hot tub, but those are at their other property, a ten-minute walk away. Heading back on foot after using the hot tub in fall or winter sounds pretty unappealing. The hotel is right beside train tracks, though they give you earplugs. Three stars is too much.
