7 Nights Stay

We paid about $70 extra for the suite with a jacuzzi, but on New Year's Eve at 11pm the hot water lasted only about 15 seconds before turning cold. The shower did the same, and the heater, even set to maximum, blew cool air while it was 17° outside. There was no help or refund. A terrible experience.

Clifton is close enough to reach in about a 10-minute walk, but far enough away that we don't have to hear all the noise. That's ideal for us. I've stayed here twice, and the rooms have been really clean both times. The owners are sweet, funny, and accommodating. I'll keep coming back to Niagara for a quick getaway.

The bathroom looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 80s and needs repairs, including to the leaky shower. The room itself was uncomfortable and dirty, with bugs, cobwebs, a strange couch stain, and holes in the sheets that looked like they hadn't been washed. For $250 a night, which is comparable to nearby hotels, I expected much better. The continental breakfast was muffins, a bagel, and coffee from 7-9am. We left early, and the staff didn't seem surprised by our concerns. If nothing is going to change, the price should at least reflect what guests get.

The owners were extremely nice and the service was amazing. Breakfast was good, with basic items but not a lot of choice. The room had nice lighting, clean floors, sheets, and comforter. The washroom was clean too, though the tub could use some work. The beds squeaked a bit when you first sat down. Some wires under the bed seemed to affect the lamps and outlets when we lay in one particular spot. Good for the price, and I'd come again.
