Sunset Inn

The staff were friendly, and getting checked in and out was easy. We booked two rooms for four of us, had a great time, and the motel was super clean and within walking distance of everything. The weather was lousy, but that was okay. The woman was especially friendly to me, and they even let us leave our car there afterward so we could go to the breakfast buffet.

I stayed four nights while visiting from Alberta and hadn’t expected much, but the hotel turned out great. It felt safe, with lots of restaurants nearby and easy walking around. Parking in both the front and back was convenient. Pool hours of 10am-10pm worked well, and my room was clean, with plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. The sheets were clean too, and the bed in my queen suite with a salon was very comfortable. The people made the stay special. The staff were friendly, and the owner was kind and genuine, treating everyone like family. I’d recommend this place and stay here again next time.

The owner is kind, helpful, and very nice. She’ll help with whatever she can. We liked the hotel for what we needed: it was affordable, with everything close by. Most attractions are walkable, and for the ones farther away, you can take the bus and leave your vehicle in the hotel’s free parking lot. I’d suggest more active room service when it comes to changing towels and sheets.

The security deposit still hasn’t been returned, and the way it was handled left me really uncomfortable. My partner booked one night for a casino trip, then we decided to stay longer. The owner said someone had to remain there to get the deposit back, so I stayed while my partner went to work. Checkout was listed as 7 to 9 a.m.; when I tried at 7:30, the owner came to my room three times and made comments about how sexy I was. At 9, he said he’d email-transfer the deposit and asked for my details. I called the next day and a younger employee yelled at me while pretending to be the owner.
