We booked through Booking.com for just one night and arrived before check-in time. Lucas at the help desk said we could have the room once it was cleaned, and he helped us out. It was clean and newly renovated, with soap, shampoo, conditioner, a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. Everything was convenient, and this is our favourite place to stay in Niagara. Thanks to Lucas, Jibin, and the Travelodge team for the service. Keep it up ❤️👍🏻

The location is very good, right on Clifton Hill, close to entertainment and the waterfall, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But the room felt dated, with a tiny washroom and an odd layout. The floor shook and made loud noises when we walked, which was uncomfortable and made the building feel unstable. The sheets had stains, though the towels were clean. The room needs improvement, even if the location and staff were good.

Off-season prices were very cheap, and my room was clean and huge. Room 527 was a double king suite with a mini fridge, microwave, and its own reserved parking space. I'd stay again for the price, just not in that room. The hotel and town are pretty dated and rundown, which would be disappointing if you didn't know what to expect in NF Canada. The room sits right on the main sidewalk of Clifton Hill, which is both convenient and a problem. Street lights came through the poor blackout curtains, which didn't close all the way. There was no sound insulation, so street noise was very noticeable: music all day and night, people talking, yelling and fighting, plus the haunted house's “horror” music. I didn't sleep well. The door needs fixing too. It had at least half an inch of play when shut, and the wind kept banging it in and out all night. I wouldn't book 527 again.

If you're after a fancy five-star experience, this isn't it. But for young couples, a fun family trip, or a last-minute stay, it's perfect. I've stayed at plenty of Niagara hotels, and this one is by far the best located, right in the middle of everything, with a price that isn't bad. The room was clean and had what we needed. Mike at reception was a sweetheart and wonderful from the start. Highly recommend!

The room itself was okay, though not like the photos, and the bathroom was so small neither of us could fit comfortably. The bed smelled strongly of weed from previous travelers, so I couldn't sleep in it. This was an all-around bad experience, and we'd never stay here again. We were first told we'd have one room, but were put in another. When we went back for the keys, they moved us up a floor, with no elevator. The lot was dangerously slushy and icy; the staff member salting it wasn't putting down enough. Cones had been placed under the structure to give people space to get out of their cars, but several people moved them. Three vehicles parked so close we couldn't get in or out easily, and our car was scratched. The curtains didn't close properly or block the blinding strip lights. We heard people screaming and arguing outside our door all night, and the door didn't lock properly, so someone could have walked right in. This is a motel, not a hotel. At checkout, staff said they couldn't return our $150 security deposit for “damages” and that we had to contact Expedia. That was false, and Expedia said the motel was supposed to refund it, as every other motel we've stayed at has done.
