Vittoria Hotel and Suites

We found the staff welcoming, and check-in went smoothly. The hotel is easy to explore on foot, right by Clifton Hill and close to restaurants, attractions, and entertainment. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern, with a mini-fridge, coffee maker, flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. The pool, hot tub, fitness centre, and on-site restaurant were convenient. The pool didn’t feel warm enough, though it was a blizzard and felt like -16 outside. The posted limits were 5 people in the hot tub and 10 in the pool, but that wasn’t actually enforced, which didn’t bother me personally. Breakfast and parking cost extra. We had a room for 6, but there weren’t enough toiletries at first; we called and they quickly brought what we needed. The bath towels were very small, and larger ones weren’t available. I was told to take towels from the pool if I needed them.

The room had a great view of Clifton Hill from the 10th floor, with a single King size bed. Staff greeted us warmly, and we could unload at the front door with about 20 minutes of grace. Would I stay here again? Yes. If you’re getting to Niagara early, try to buy an on-site parking pass as soon as you can. We checked in at 8:30pm, but those passes had sold out by 3pm. The off-site parking was a mess in the snow. About a third of the spots were only partly plowed and some weren’t plowed, so people were parking wherever they could. The walk back might usually be fine, but in winter the city hadn’t cleared the sidewalk, leaving us to walk along a busy, dark street at night. It may not happen often, but it’s worth knowing.

I’ve been here several times, and it’s been consistently solid. The hotel is fairly basic, but clean and comfortable, with a pool, room service, and what you need for a pleasant stay. It’s mid-range, neither a budget motel nor a luxury resort, and reasonably priced. The location is the real draw, one of the best in Niagara Falls, with everything close by if you’d rather walk than drive. For convenience, value, and a dependable stay, I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The rooms look recently renovated and were very clean. The Vittoria is right beside the amusements, so getting around on foot was easy. The staff were friendly and joking around, which made the visit really pleasant.
