Holiday Inn Express & Suites Niagara On The Lake

The staff were kind, and breakfast was very good. I stayed one night with my family. The room was spacious, clean, and up to date in its design. Great value for the price!

I experienced the crowded pool and breakfast myself, and it was awful. The Holiday Inn Express is connected to Staybridge Suites, though Google Maps makes it look like one hotel. At the main entrance, you go left for Staybridge and right for Holiday Inn. In practice, guests from both similarly sized hotels share the pool and morning breakfast buffet, so there are twice as many people trying to use them. Don't even try for breakfast on a Sunday morning, there won't be any left. I'd stay at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn instead, which is just one hotel. The picture I took while sitting in the Tim Hortons across the way makes it look like two hotels, but there's a connecting first-floor entryway between them. I'll never stay at either of these hotels again.

The room was roomy and very clean, and both check-in and checkout were simple. The staff were friendly, too. I’d happily stay here again, though breakfast was a letdown. I usually choose Holiday Inns partly because breakfast is included, and I’m normally a fan of their breakfasts. Here, the oatmeal was so watery and slimy that I couldn’t finish it, the sausages were undercooked, and the eggs were overcooked. I was surprised by this location.

The pool was nice, and I enjoyed the gym. Breakfast was a real highlight, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My kid gives it “5 stars!” and we agree. The place was very clean. Our only small issue was feeling a bit cold at night: my kid wanted a heavier comforter, and I slept in socks. We could have turned up the thermostat, so it wasn’t a big deal.
