My friend and I felt so welcome and had such an enjoyable stay. The house is beautiful and spacious, in a very quiet, safe neighbourhood, and the hosts and customer service were top notch. The homemade breakfast was delicious and the highlight of our visit. Hands down the best B&B I've experienced in Ontario! Thanks for everything, we had a wonderful time.

David makes an excellent, creative breakfast and surprises you with something new each morning. The guest rooms are warm, comfortable, and inviting, each with a private bathroom. He also knows the area well and can suggest places to eat and wineries to visit. This is a beautiful retreat in NOTL, and I've had the same good experience every time I've stayed. I can't say enough good things about it and highly recommend it for your next visit to NOTL. I know you won't be disappointed!

My fiancé and I spent our anniversary at the Gatekeepers Retreat this past June, and David's hospitality was a treat we'll never forget. We loved our daily conversations with him, and the food was phenomenal. The home is decorated with so much care and attention to detail. We especially liked the speakeasy room and the large selection of loose teas to steep. And of course, the two cutest pups! The experience was exceptional from start to finish.

Our hosts were extremely friendly and knew the area well. The extra room, the library, was a relaxing place to unwind after outings. The rooms were spacious, with very clean ensuite bathrooms. I hadn't expected a two-course chef-prepared breakfast when we booked, but it was an incredible experience every morning of our four-day stay. I felt very pampered. Great place!!!!

We stayed two nights and will definitely return. David was such a welcoming, charming host, and Gatekeeper’s Retreat has lovely antiques and a wonderful ambience. The breakfasts were amazing and creative. It's well situated, within walking distance of downtown Niagara On The Lake and close to many excellent restaurants and wineries. Thanks to David for a wonderful mini holiday!!!!
