The food was the absolute highlight of our stay at the Inn. Everything was wonderful, from the coffee and pastries delivered to our room to the breakfast cooked by the chef. My husband and I first stayed here last summer and loved it enough to return for a relaxing winter weekend. The rooms are spacious, the beds really comfortable, and the property is beautiful. It’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy great food.

Breakfast was out of this world, one of the highlights of our stay. The Woodbourne Inn’s rooms have plenty of character and charm, and you can feel the history while still having all the comfort you want. Its common areas are classy and inviting, with elegant furniture and thoughtful layouts that make it easy to relax. This was our second time here, and once again it was a fantastic experience. A big thank you to Juan and the whole team for making us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be back. 10/10.

We booked all eight rooms for four nights for our annual girls’ getaway, and everything was fabulous. Each morning, coffee or tea and a freshly baked item were left on a tray outside our rooms to enjoy while getting ready. About an hour later, we’d meet in the dining room for a full breakfast prepared by a local chef. We felt so spoiled and pampered that we didn’t want to leave. The rooms were clean and fresh, a delightful mix of old charm and modern conveniences.

The Woodbourne Inn is definitely at the top of our list after many B&Bs. My husband and I book a trip to a new bed and breakfast each year, and we’d absolutely return if we came to the area again. We loved the spacious feel of the home, with high ceilings and several places to sit. On our rainy last day, it was ideal for settling in with a book. Only three of the eight rooms were occupied during our stay, and we rarely saw anyone else. It was immaculately clean, with comfortable beds, a massive bathtub, an easy-to-use fireplace, and two divine breakfasts. There were a few drawbacks. It’s an old house, so we occasionally heard other people’s voices and floorboards creaking. We went in October and couldn’t open the windows or control the heat or AC, but we were comfortable and didn’t need the fans in the closet. We were offered a free upgrade to room 8, where there were no other guests nearby and it had its own heating and cooling. Looks like they do that when they can. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use the stairs. The second breakfast at 9:45 was a bit late for someone who likes to get up and head out early. If we returned, we might ask for an earlier start. An afternoon tea or happy hour could also make things more social among guests.

The breakfast was the clear highlight. French toast with pastry glaze, stewed plums, candied seeds, and fresh roasted nectarines, every bite was delicious. It was absolutely top notch, and I’d stay at Woodbourne Inn again just for the food. The house chef should have her own TV show; if it were a restaurant, it would get a Michelin nod for sure. The inn is charming, comfortable, and well furnished, a great base for a weekend of wineries and town strolls at Niagra on the lake. The rooms were nice and comfortable. No TVs or thermostat, but that’s me being picky.
