Crystal Star Inn Edmonton Airport

The room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. There weren’t many amenities, but with the price and the convenience of very low-cost parking, we’d definitely stay again. The shower was a letdown: both shower heads were clogged, the pressure was terrible, and the curtain rod was rusty. I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom.

The front desk staff were pleasant and kind, and the service was excellent for a reasonable price. My room was fresh, tidy, and clean, as was the bathroom. It had fresh washcloths, hand towels, and bath towels. 👍👍

Our stay was disappointing from the start. Nobody greeted us or smiled when we came in, and there was no sense that guests were welcome or appreciated. The place also looked dirty, as though it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Several things in the room weren’t up to standard. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and the main door seemed broken, which made us feel unsafe. There was no microwave or “Do Not Disturb” sign, and the chair was torn. The room condition and service both fell well short of what we expected. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the service and maintenance.

I booked this place hoping to get a few hours of sleep before heading back to the Edmonton airport, but it felt like a waste of money. The walls were so thin I could hear everything in the next room and couldn’t sleep. It would have been better to stay at the airport. The shuttle was another problem. I called ahead and was told it would take 20 to 30 minutes, but it took almost an hour. I waited at Door 10 as instructed, then called the front desk after 40 minutes. They didn’t know how much longer it would be and said the shuttle was run by a third party and they weren’t responsible. I reminded them I was their guest, but the staff were rude and refused to help. The shuttle finally arrived about an hour after I started waiting.
