Lone Star Hotel

The building’s exterior doesn’t give you the right impression. Inside, the rooms are spacious, clean, and very nice. I was especially glad to have hot breakfast options after a few days of cereal and cigarette-smelling motels. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’m very pleased with my stay. I’ll stay here again when I’m passing through and highly recommend it.

The staff were super polite, but I couldn’t get a refund. The rooms were dirty, and the building had an awful cockroach infestation, the worst I’ve ever seen. It looked like the place would have to burn down to get rid of them. This is the most disgusting place I’ve seen.

Check-in was tedious, and the elevator was out of order. There was no blanket on the bed, and both the fridge and AC were noisy. The TV package was terrible, so baseball fans should stay somewhere else.

The only real downside is winter parking for big trucks or rigs. The field doesn’t get plowed, and street parking isn’t recommended. Otherwise, we enjoy the quiet nights here after long days of driving. Breakfast is hot and ready in the morning, which we appreciate before heading to work. The hotel is clean and quiet, pet friendly, and the staff are very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. They welcome our dog and go out of their way to make the stay positive.
