Heritage Home Bed & Breakfast

Helene is a lovely host and a great cook. We had a wide range of breakfast choices, all delicious, and the homemade rhubarb jam was especially good. The house is beautiful, the rooms are clean and modern, and the beds were really comfortable. We had a great stay and hope to come back.

I grew up in this town, and whenever I come home to visit, I’ll keep staying at The Dove B&B. It feels like my own little oasis. This was my second stay, just as wonderful as the first. The Captains Room was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. Helene and Blair go out of their way to welcome you. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices, served quickly while chatting with Helene. I can’t recommend it enough!

Breakfast is a real feast, with eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, waffles, French toast, and homemade beans, so come hungry. Helene was so sweet, and the way she got everything ready so quickly was amazing. My family of four stayed in the Navigation rooms, which turned out to be much bigger than they looked online. Everything was pristine, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the view was spectacular. All the little details on the table and the cozy rooms made it so relaxing. I grew up nearby and will stay here again when I’m home.

We were only a two-minute drive from the ferry, and the owners cooked us a great breakfast in the morning. They were friendly and informative too. We stayed in the captain’s room and felt like captains for the night. It had a beautiful king-sized bed, amazing sheets, a good-sized room, and a private bathroom. Highly recommend this B&B.
