Caledonia Motor Inn

We went to the inn's restaurant for lunch and had a really great time. We ordered Japanese food, and it was amazing. The staff greeted us at the entrance, brought us menus, and asked what we'd like to drink. The service was wonderful.

They canceled gigs only two days ahead, which isn't fair to the performers. From what I've read in other reviews, staying there sounds rough too. In such a remote community, you'd expect them to welcome artists who come to entertain, but they don't seem willing to pay talent a fair market rate. Enjoy the empty bar.

The seafood yakisoba was delicious, and my daughter enjoyed her chicken fingers and fries. The restaurant has both Canadian and Japanese menus. I may have found a new favorite spot in the area.

There was a dirty, used face cloth balled up on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom smelled of urine and badly needed a bleach cleaning. The pillows smelled so bad that we covered them with a T-shirt. The whole place reeks of old cigarettes with air freshener over it. It was only $80/night, so I guess you get what you pay for, but a bit of cleaning would make a big difference.
