The animals were incredible to see up close. Their size still amazes me, and they came right up to our vehicle when we brought plenty of carrots. We took a private drive through the very well-maintained park, with clear directions and lots of different animals to see. We also watched an employee feed the wolves, then got a close look as they waited patiently for their meat cubes. Loved the whole experience. I’d come back again and again, and would love to visit in summer too.

Seeing the wolves right outside the chalet windows several times was unforgettable. We spent the night in one of the wolf chalets, which has two floors and looks directly onto the wolf area. It’s not cheap, but the stay felt worth it for such a special experience. We even had a local cheese fondue in the chalet that evening. You can drive through the park and feed the animals from your car, which made the visit fun for both adults and kids. Bring carrots, or buy them at the Maison du Parc on site. There are also several places around the park to eat, get a drink, or use the restroom, so the visit is comfortable and well organized. A fantastic nature experience, highly recommended if you’re in the region.

This is a rare and wonderful nature experience, but the way our visit was managed needs work. We went on Feb 14, 2026, during the long weekend, and the park was packed with vehicles. With online bookings divided into time slots, I expected the number of cars to be controlled. The crowding raised safety concerns. In several places it wasn’t clear whether roads were one-way or two-way. If there’s a collision or an animal-related accident, what safety measures are in place? Some stretches have no exits, so cars could be stuck for a long time. I also wondered about the smoke pollution from so many vehicles near animals along the drive paths. Staff were nearby when visitors ignored signs against feeding carrots to certain animals, including bison, but didn’t intervene. What controls are actually being enforced? And since the visit is vehicle-based, why charge per person, whether there’s one person in the car or four? Why not limit the number of cars when bookings are already online? A couple of tips: don’t pack more than four people into a vehicle, since it may be less comfortable and not everyone will get a good chance to see or feed animals up close. One bag of carrots is usually enough because other visitors have already fed many of the animals. Don’t throw carrots on the ground either, as it creates waste and makes the experience worse for the cars behind you. I’m sharing the main problems I experienced. With more attention to safety and the visitor experience instead of volume, this unique park could really be a gem.

A beautiful park doing a great job of conserving its flora and fauna. Feeding carrots to the Deers was fun, and staying at the Wolf Chalet was memorable, with only a french window between you and the wolves. It’s active in every season, and each one offers something different.

We spent three hours on the full self-driving tour, then walked over to see the wolves and the Wolverine pen. We could easily have spent longer in a few spots. 10/10, would recommend! I was worried the deer might scratch the vehicle, but they were gentle. One even had its head right inside, trying to pull carrots from the bag. Carrots are reasonably priced on site. If you bring your own or buy them there, smaller ones are easier to break into pieces. We ran through our supply quickly in the first half, so we picked up more halfway through. There weren’t nearly as many to feed in the second half. We went just after opening, when the deer were ravenous, and many had retreated to the shade by the time we left.
