Best Western Plus Okotoks Inn & Suites

The receptionist was very nice, and the location was quiet. The room itself looked fine, but the bathroom was disgusting, with tissue bits, hair, and dirty patches on the floor and dust on the towel shelves. I wouldn't stay there again.

The front sliding door has been broken all three days of our January 2026 stay, so guests have to force it open. There hasn't been any snow cleared outside since we arrived, and the kitchen is shut, making the already meager breakfast even worse. In a room for two, we got one bath towel, with no clock, pen, or paper. There's also a very loud motor noise from the hallway ceiling right outside the room. We've stayed at this BW regularly, but the place has gone downhill so much that we won't return. When I tried to talk to a staff member about it, she just smirked. It was the same woman who was running around playing some kind of game with kids screaming in the hall. They should call it "Harry's Motor Lodge" because it doesn't deserve the name Best Western.

I was told on the day I checked in by text that the breakfast room was closed. Since breakfast mattered to me, I should have been told when I booked so I could decide whether to stay. I'd been here before and had no booking issues. The breakfast was awful, just a soggy burrito with greasy sausage, and the coffee was lukewarm. When I complained at checkout, the woman with long black hair and glasses basically told me to get lost. She didn't seem to care and refused to do anything about it. Between the poor service at reception and the way my complaint was handled, I probably won't book here again.

The room was shabby, the bed wasn't very comfortable, and there was a light coating of dust everywhere. The TV was nice, and the towels were lovely. They even still provide a hair dryer, which not every hotel does these days. Service was flawless, and this morning's breakfast was the best we've ever had at a hotel. We had a good stay, but we're not sure we'd return. The service and breakfast might persuade us.
