Mount View Motel

We’ve stayed at budget motels without knowing what to expect, and this place was a lovely surprise. It was fresh, clean, updated with care, and renovated really nicely. The bed was comfortable, and the spotless bedding felt high quality. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, plus a toaster, kettle, microwave, full stove, and apartment-size fridge with a good-size freezer. For that price, it was definitely the nicest little motel we’ve stayed at. John was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he cares about the place. Thanks, John, for a relaxing stay. We had to cancel our room the day before because of a medical emergency. I didn’t get the name of the person I left a voicemail with, but he was so understanding and compassionate, and he was able to help us. I thought customer service was dead, but the Mount View Hotel renewed my faith. Whenever we can make it up to Oliver, this will be our choice every time.

The kitchenette was really well equipped, with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, a fridge, stove, microwave, and toaster. Even the sink had dish soap and a drain tray. John is a wonderful owner and proprietor, and this renovated little motel was a complete surprise. It’s good value for the money, and we’d absolutely stay again.

For quite a few years, this was my go-to place when I was in Oliver, and it’s easily the best motel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are spotless and very well renovated. The new owner has obviously put a ton of money into the place. Don’t hesitate to stay at this budget-friendly spot. Big props to the new owner, great job!
