Bella Villa Motel & Resort

The water from both the tap and shower stank, probably from a shallow, smelly well. They also charge a $30 cleaning fee if you use the dishes, as if we were going to touch them. The fridge had a smell straight out of a Rob Zombie film. They left the door unlocked and the keys on the kitchen counter for us. Instead of drywall tape, someone had stuck on duct tape and painted over it. I’m not kidding. We booked in a rush while driving in from Seattle, with barely any cell service through Mount Baker and Ross Lake National Parks. Google Maps showed 3.5 stars and the pictures didn’t look too bad, but wow, they were misleading. The place should be condemned and burned down. The bedroom was tiny, basically closet-sized, and the mattress felt like it required a tetanus shot. I wasn’t going to let Karlie go in there, let alone sleep on it. We ended up sharing the couch, got maybe two hours of sleep, then left at sunrise. I could say more, but the photos say it all.

The Bella Villa has a nostalgic charm, like stepping back in time, and somehow still has great Wifi. It’s an older place, but our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved being right on the beach, with a lovely patio and storage for my PaddleBoards. Deanna, the Owner, was so nice and made our stay perfect. We only stayed for the first time last weekend because our usual place was booked, but I was so happy with it that I’ll stay here every year from now on. I can’t say enough good things about Bella Villa, and I’d recommend this Motel without hesitation. Can’t wait for 2023!

The room was a decent size, and the kitchen was reasonably stocked if you wanted to cook, though there were a lot of ants on the counter. You have to wash your own dishes. It’s an older building, and the rooms are okay. The woman who helped us was great.

We were so glad to find a dog-friendly spot at the Bella Villa Resort. We’ve had such a good time vacationing here with our dogs that we’ve returned a couple of times and already booked for next year. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have everything you need to be comfortable. The motel sits right on its own beach, and town center is an easy walk away. What more could you ask for?
