Super 8 Osoyoos

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and nice, with very comfy pillows. The building looks a little dated. The AC was loud, though it turned off from time to time and let us sleep. Breakfast choices were limited, but the iced tea was delicious. I didn't get to swim, but the pool looked very clean and nice. I'd recommend it.

The pool area felt like its own little world, tucked among the older buildings. It was lovely, with floaty toys for the kids, a hot tub my son enjoyed, plenty of deck chairs and little tables, pool towels, and a picnic table area. Breakfast was much appreciated: no hot food, but lots of choices, including toast, bagels, and toaster waffles. The staff kept the food and coffee stocked. The new-building room was beautiful and clean. I worried it would be far from the pool, but a side door and stairs made it easy to get there. Phil at check-in was welcoming and knowledgeable. At first I wondered about the location, but after seeing the resort row area, I was glad we were somewhere less crowded with less traffic and close to lots of things. One evening the spotty Wi-Fi kept dropping our movie every five minutes, so we gave up. I didn't bring it up at the desk since it wasn't a big deal; sitting outside by the pool until 10 and enjoying the evening sky was nicer anyway. Highly recommend.

The new tower room was very clean, the AC worked well, and breakfast was good. Everyone on staff was welcoming and helpful. There's a large pool and a hot tub, though no fitness centre, which matters to some people. Still, Super 8 really is super. Take care.

The manager deserves special credit. When the local taxi company refused us a ride because we had a dog, Phil took it upon himself to drive us to our destination in his own vehicle. I've rarely seen customer service like that. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and everything worked. The beach is an easy ten-minute walk away, which makes the location terrific if you don't mind the walk.
