Sahara Courtyard Inn

The room had bugs, and the hygiene was far below what I expected. We stayed two nights, Oct 11-13, in room 130, the last room down the hall on the left, with one bed in the living room and one in the bedroom. It looked like nobody had used it for a long time. There were dead mosquitoes on the living room bed, an old stain on the bedroom bed, a stain on the bathroom door, and a spider and web in the bathroom sink, along with more spiders in the tub. There were webs outside the front door too. We didn't sleep in or touch the living room bed, and I cleaned the webs myself. I called room cleaning service in the morning, but they didn't deal with these problems. The cleaner only replaced the used towel and changed the sheets on the bedroom bed we'd slept in. The stains, webs, and insect bodies were left there. On the second night, a larger insect crawled over my leg while I was resting in bed. The location was good, the price fair, and the staff very nice. I also really enjoyed the fully equipped fitness centre, even though it only fits one person. The pool, though, was full of leaves, sand, and dirt, so it wasn't pleasant to use. We visited in October 2025.

The layout is unusual, with most rooms opening onto an inner courtyard full of tables and umbrellas. There are a pool and kiddie pool, plus BBQs for guests who want to cook supper. We had a small issue with our room, but a face-to-face chat with the owner got it fixed right away. Nice people, and the housekeeping staff were great too. It's a very convenient location. The beach is a two-minute walk, and there are lots of places to eat just minutes away. It's also easy to walk up to town.

The staff were so accommodating that they took my forgotten outfit to UPS the very next day and shipped it to me. That's far beyond the service I expected. Thank you to everyone at Sahara Courtyard for being so gracious. We'll definitely stay with you again when we're back in Penticton. We had a wonderful visit, and even in the rain the pool was clean and enjoyable.

The sage pub is right next door, with great food and really good pizza. I've stayed at this place countless times for work in the area, and the rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable too. The staff are kind, great to work with, and accommodating to all our needs. Hope this helps you choose a good place to stay in Osoyoos.
