The restaurant was the weak point for us. The service wasn’t good, though I can’t really blame the waitress when she was making every drink at the bar and waiting on tables by herself. The food was below average, basically frozen food warmed up, and the drinks weren’t good either. I thought I was ordering a $15 side Caesar, but when the bill came and I asked, they told me they don’t offer a side Caesar and charged me for a full one. They just don’t seem equipped for it. Our cabin was beautiful and clean, the beds were clean, and the accommodations were great overall. The area is beautiful and well kept.

We were blown away by how convenient the cabin was, including the parking for our sled trailer. The service was great, and the Bistro food was top notch. The trails were groomed right to the resort, which made it a real treat on our snowmobile trip in Quebec. After riding, we could relax in our own private hot tub on the deck. Wowza! Bravo 👏 La Bannik :)

We’ve stayed in the rustic cabins in spring and fall, returned in winter for snowmobiling, and camped with our RV in summer overlooking Lake Timiskaming. La Bannik really is a fabulous four season resort, and Luc and Claudia are so friendly and gracious that they make you feel like family. It’s a great place to unwind. Bistro Clau Clau is on site, with amazing food and a picturesque lake view. Take a shoreline walk to the fort, and Ville Marie is a short drive away to explore its great restaurants and chocolatier.

The campground complex is quiet, clean, and very well managed, and the pool is great. Our trailer was nice, but we’ve booked a cabin for next year. Dinner was fabulous, with gourmet delights and a beautiful view as a float plane landed.
