Sandy Beach Suites

We spent mornings on the upper-floor balcony, looking out over the lake, beach, and landscape with coffee, and evenings there with a glass of wine. The room was newly renovated, spotless, and fitted with brand-new appliances; the soft neutral colours felt calm and modern. Down by the water, the beach was pristine, with the sand raked daily. The lawn, flowers, and little herb and vegetable garden were lovely too. A peaceful, clean, well-cared-for resort.

We liked our stay at Sandy Beach Resort enough to book again for next year. The rates were reasonable, and the location, amenities, and comfortable, pleasant accommodations all worked well for us. Some suites have been refurbished and are lovely. Sandro at the front desk was especially kind and considerate, taking care of our group through plenty of questions and requests. Thanks to the staff and new owners.

After about ten years of not finding an opening at Sandy Beach Suites, we got lucky with a last-minute cancellation over Labour Day weekend. We could only stay one night, but it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Our small renovated studio had everything we needed: a modern kitchen, big sofa, air conditioning, comfortable bed, bistro table, and a clean bathroom stocked with soap and shampoo. The beachfront is breathtaking. We sat in the Adirondack chairs for sunset and felt far removed from Osoyoos, then took a lovely beach walk early the next morning, still taken with the view. Amanda, the resort manager, was friendly at checkout and apologized that she couldn't extend our time because they were short-staffed over the long weekend. When I mentioned how hard it had been to book before, she offered to reserve us for next year. We're thrilled to come back. Thanks again, Amanda!

The facilities worked perfectly for our Thanksgiving family get-together, with something to suit our different ages and energy levels. A man I believe was the owner was gracious and made for an interesting conversation. It's easy to understand why these properties have waiting lists. Well done.
