Hampton Inn by Hilton Ottawa

I checked out this morning and was absolutely blown away. We got the king room with a pull-out couch and asked for a cot. They brought it quickly with no issue, and there was still room to run across the room. The room was really clean and impressive, and the pool was clean and great too. They even had towels on the pool deck. Breakfast was excellent, with cereal, toast, bagels, eggs, pork and turkey sausage, and a waffle station. There were a couple of high chairs in the breakfast area for babies. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The location was handy, just a two-minute walk from the baseball stadium, and a short drive to the Rideau Canal for skating. We plan to return next year. Dogs were given lower-floor rooms, and the hotel provided waste bins outside and bags at reception. Some owners still didn’t pick up after their dogs, so I suggested adding cameras out front to encourage them. That’s on the irresponsible owners, of course, not the hotel. The place was very clean, the staff were super friendly, and the room was spacious with great blackout blinds. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the towels looked brand new, and underground parking was included. Breakfast was included too, with free coffee and tea available around the clock.

The hot breakfast was fantastic, and the servers were so friendly. The bathrooms were up to date and extremely clean, and the beds and pillows were dreamy. The room was so quiet and clean, and the TV worked great, which is usually an issue for us wherever we stay. We checked in at 7:30 pm, and they were immediately accommodating without charging extra because it was late. They were friendly and efficient. The room was gorgeous, and we spent the first ten minutes just walking around in awe. I’ve paid $100 more per night for somewhere much less classy. Best place we’ve ever stayed anywhere. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Ottawa. Five stars plus five more!

The only downside was the elevator, which was quite slow. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend this place. I used points for a huge room with two beds and stayed one night in November 2025. The room was outstanding, and the bathroom was great, with soft, plush towels, a good shower, and nice amenities. You’d need a car or an Uber to get around, but the price was so low and breakfast was included with enough variety that you won’t go hungry. There’s complimentary coffee and tea all day, and the staff are very kind and friendly. The gym was great, and my room was right across from it.
