Residence Inn by Marriott Ottawa Airport

The room was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, with a roomy kitchenette that had a coffee maker, kettle, toaster, small stovetop and basic dishes. There were two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The hotel was clean throughout, and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was a solid start to the day, with eggs, sausage, cereal, baked goods, a waffle maker and more. Laundry, a gym and a pool were available too. It’s handy for the airport, though downtown Ottawa is about 20 minutes away. The large outdoor lot didn’t have enough spaces, but the underground garage was convenient and could fit larger vehicles, with 7' 6" clearance. Good value for the money. The downside was a disturbance on our floor that brought police sometime between 2 and 3 in the morning, and our windows faced the nearby train station.

We spent a week in Ottawa and ended up here after our original booking on booking.com fell through. We were glad we found it. The suite had a kitchen, so I could make lunch and dinner for my kids throughout the week. It felt like a home away from home and had everything we needed. We’d be happy to stay again.

The suite was spacious and affordable, with a kitchen and sofa, and everything was very clean. Staff were really friendly, and the complimentary breakfast had both hot and cold choices for everyone. This was the nicest hotel stay I’ve ever had.

The accessible room worked especially well for my power wheelchair. There’s lots of room in the bathroom to turn around and transfer to the shower or use the loo. The staff made sure I could get breakfast even though I couldn’t reach the buffet in my chair. I didn’t want everyone to have to move, but a staff member quietly offered to help, explained what was available, and brought me a lovely breakfast at my table. The breakfast buffet is great, and the dining space has a fun feel because people eat together, with a quieter, relaxed side too. Everyone went out of their way to make the stay easy, without hassles. If you need a wheelchair accessible room, this is a great choice.
