I had a bad experience at Sunnyside B&B. There was poor service, the place wasn't clean, and they charged me extra fees: HST and a 3% tourism fee, which I understand isn't mandatory. When I asked for their HST number, they didn't have one and said they weren't required to submit HST. I contacted Ottawa Tourism and learned they weren't members either. If you can avoid this B&B, do. If you can't, stay away from the musty basement rooms. Best of luck on your trip.

The B&B is in a handy spot in the city, and breakfast was simple but really good. I stayed two nights for a conference and had a great time. The host was friendly and very accommodating.
