The washrooms could use some updating, and the price felt a little high for what you get, which is why I gave it four stars. The rooms were clean and cozy, though, with very comfortable beds and new fluffy pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful with questions about amenities and things to do in Ottawa and the surrounding area. The air conditioning and wifi worked great. We were happy with our stay and would recommend it to a friend.

We love the cabins because you can shut the door and enjoy a quiet, private room that feels removed from the city. The service is amazing, and breakfast is appreciated. My partner and I keep coming back. It’s not a five-star place, but that’s not why I gave it a high rating.

It’s a handy, inexpensive alternative to downtown Ottawa if you’re willing to drive in for sightseeing, and I’d definitely stay again. The small units were clean and good value. I was there in September 2015, when downtown was fully booked for the school start weekend. The family-run staff were lovely: the gentleman who found me a room was incredibly friendly, helpful and polite, and his wife was just as nice when I met her the next day. A great stop on a road trip.

The pool was lovely, and the clean beds even had creative towel sculptures. The drive downtown is short, so it’s convenient and affordable. I had a wonderful stay at the Traveler's Haven Motel and would highly recommend it for the great rooms and friendly staff.
