Wingate by Wyndham Kanata West Ottawa

The breakfast buffet had so much to choose from: sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal, potato patties, muffins, and fruit, among other things. We stayed last night for the Offspring concert, and the whole hotel was impressively clean, not just our room. The beds were super comfortable, and there were enough towels and other room items. Check-in took a little while because they were so busy, but the whole process was done in 10 minutes. My boyfriend and I agreed we'll stay here whenever we're in Ottawa, if we can. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The breakfast was amazing, and everything tasted fresh, from the eggs, sausages, waffles, potatoes, beans, and fruit to the cereal, bread, muffins, bagels, juice, and tea. The rooms were clean and nice, with very comfortable beds. The staff were super nice, and even with this being a family friendly hotel, I didn't hear other guests in the hallways. I highly recommend it!

We had a few problems, but the hotel was great overall. The room was clean, the blackout curtains worked well, and we could set the AC to 68 F. The gym was very nice, with free weights, a weight machine, several treadmills, a rowing machine, a bike, and two ellipticals. There was also a pool and hot tub. They let us plug in our PHEV to a light post for free. A silverfish was in the shower. Our keys didn't work for the gym, and mine didn't work at first either. The bed was much too soft for us, someone wasn't at the desk once when we needed them, and we needed white noise to cover sounds from other guests.

The rooms were great, and the staff were very nice. The pool and hot tub were clean and really nice too. The shower felt narrow when standing in it, but otherwise I loved the place. We stayed five days. One room attendant wasn't helpful when I asked for more body wash: she checked it and said it was fine, but the bottle was empty. I wasn't happy with that.
