The room windows made me uneasy. They’re large, and with the hotel sitting in an open area and no fencing or protective grilles, I worried someone could break the glass to get in. Aside from that, I had a comfortable stay at Canalta Hotel. The room was clean, well kept, and much more spacious than I expected. Breakfast was fresh and well prepared, and the staff handled it really well. The gym was also well equipped and maintained, which was a nice surprise for a smaller town hotel. There’s a convenience store about a 2-minute walk away and an A&W nearby, so it was easy to pick up snacks or a quick meal. I’d consider staying again.

The hotel itself was very nice, but breakfast was a mess when several baseball teams and a lot of construction workers were there. I came down at 7:00 a.m. and there was no hot food or utensils left. One woman was covering both the front desk and the breakfast room, and she was tied up at the desk for quite a while. I had to leave for the ball game with almost nothing to eat.

The continental breakfast was better than we expected, and the room was roomy, very clean, with beds and pillows that were super comfortable. We had a great experience from check-in onward. Thanks, Oyen Canalta, for looking after us during last week's storm. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place in the area.

The breakfast tacos were the surprise that made our unexpected stop memorable. They had the usual breakfast options too, but that taco bar made everyone happy. We were traveling as a family with our dog when nasty weather forced us to stop, and I'm really glad we did. The room was large, clean, and had what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the games room gave us a place to unwind after a stressful drive.

April at the reservation desk was top notch, super friendly and really accommodating. I was extremely satisfied with the stay, and the rooms are fantastic. I'd definitely book again when I'm passing through, and highly recommend stopping here.
