Nova Inn Peace River

The hotel itself is fine, just a typical cheap hotel. But phone bookings go through an agency that can't find the booking information, and staff wouldn't give me a receipt when I checked out. They don't answer the phone either. I've called 21 times in the last four hours. I just want a damn receipt.

The room looks old, though the bed was nice and the service excellent. They only have their own rewards program.

The smell in the room was the worst part. It had an odor of southeast Asian food, and I couldn't sleep because of it. The carpet was full of crumbs, food, and who knows what else; there were stains on the walls and human hair all around the bed. I'm so disappointed I stayed here. All I expect from a hotel is a clean room, and Nova didn't come close. They need to do a much better job cleaning these rooms. I'll never stay again, and I'd suggest others avoid it too.

The staff are the main reason we keep coming back. They're so kind and understanding, especially since we're girls who always end up running way late at checkout. I can't express how awesome the front desk staff have been. The rooms are comfy and clean, and you can get a smoking room. This is the only hotel I'll stay at when I'm in Peace River, Alberta. I absolutely love it here, it's like home away from home for us. Thank you guys!
