Western Budget Motel Peace River

I was disappointed mainly by the staff. They were repeatedly rude and dismissive, with little regard for customer service. It’s a shame, because the rest of the stay might have been fine if not for her attitude.

We’ve stayed here three times now. On our first visit, we had the honeymoon suite with its in-room hot tub, fireplace, and mini kitchen, and it was great. On this trip, going north and back, we stayed in a dog-friendly room. It was clean, cool, and had a nice tiled floor that our dogs loved. The staff were friendly and prices very reasonable. We’ll definitely stay here whenever we’re in Peace River, and I highly recommend it.

I travel for work a lot, and it’s hard to find motels or hotels with trailer parking, good customer service, nice rooms, and a good shower. This place has all that, and it’s right beside Canadian Tire and No Frills.

The receptionist greeted us warmly, and there was a ceiling full of foliage overhead. Great oxygen! The rooms were huge, with a cozy fireplace that seems to come standard, which was a treat. The beds were comfortable and firm, and each room had a coffee maker on a table big enough for two. There’s a full fridge for leftovers, plus two comfortable chairs with a table between them near the fireplace, perfect for a game of cribbage. The TV was a little small, but that was no big deal. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the mighty peaceful valley. Breakfast wasn’t served, but the rooms were worth the price even with breakfast off site. Can’t wait to come back, have 30 beers at the iron bridge, and maybe get a haircut!
