Quality Hotel & Conference Centre

I’ve stayed twice and had a really nice time both times. The bed was comfy, the room warm, and Netflix worked on the room TV so I could use my own account. There were K-cups for my morning coffee, too. Staff were very kind, though there were a couple of mix-ups: they said breakfast would be available on Christmas Day, then it wasn’t, and said they had milk instead of coffee cream, but they didn’t. I’m planning to stay again.

At checkout the next morning, the front desk woman was very nice, and breakfast was great. The night before was much less pleasant. My wife and I, aged 69 and 71, were put in a separate building at the far end of the property, a short drive away. The icy parking lot sloped steeply, we had to climb a tall snowbank to reach the entrance, and the floors inside were just as cold. After a long drive I was too tired and cranky to complain that evening. When I asked first about a luggage cart because we had several boxes and bags, including perishable food we wanted to keep from freezing, the man at the desk answered sternly that there was no cart.

Staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was good value. You can wash and dry your laundry there, and breakfast was good. It isn’t buffet style, though, so there are no second servings. Pick what you want carefully. We recommend staying here.

At $150 a night, it didn’t feel worth the cost. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and one had a big dip that kept pulling us into it. The kids tossed and turned, and with the heat and toilet running all night, it was hard to sleep. Breakfast vouchers were a mess, too. At check-in we were told our family of four would get four vouchers, but my husband went to pick them up before breakfast and received only two. The location was okay and mostly quiet, apart from kids running up and down the hall at 10:30 at night.
