There’s a huge gift shop, and I was impressed by how many amenities Bissell’s Hideaway Resort has. I have a campsite just outside Ottawa, so I noticed the difference. The grounds are really large, too, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating when we came to visit family for the weekend. There’s plenty for kids to do.

The waterpark was fantastic, and we spent plenty of time relaxing by the pool. We rented a rustic cabin for a weekend with our grandsons. It was clean, the bunks were comfortable, and having air conditioning made sleeping much easier during the heatwave. There’s lots to do, from paddle boating and mini golf to fishing, the arcade, and basketball and volleyball courts. The pavilion also has programming every day. A wonderful getaway!

The pools were clean and well maintained, with shallower spots for younger kids and beginner swimmers. The food and treats are decent, and you can grab the kids ice cream as they come in and out of the water. Still, if you’re planning to spend the day, I’d pack a small cooler with their favorite snacks, fruit, and lunch. Great family fun 🩵.

Our first night out in our brand new RV was memorable, and we’ve already booked another stay. The grounds were pristine, there were lots of clean washrooms, the electricity was reliable, and activities were everywhere. We even caught a live band in the pavilion. Our pull through site had a huge concrete pad, fire pit, and picnic table, with a nice sense of privacy. The price seemed reasonable for everything available. They welcomed our dog with a treat and doggy bag, and the staff were friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better first trip. Some complaints here seem a little precious, like docking a campsite because it rained. This place deserves 5/5 all day long.

The park itself is great, but renting through famfun was a huge mistake. We paid over $1000 and found leftover food in and around the cabin, plastic garbage in an unemptied fire pit, and no working outdoor light. They tried to fix the light, but it kept flashing on and off. The shower was cold at first, though they fixed that the next day. famfun's customer service was terrible. For that price, there shouldn't have been these problems, and the service should have been better.
