This is a clean, functional little motel with friendly service. My room is away from the main traffic, so it’s fairly quiet, and the bed is quite comfortable. Bathrooms are clean, towels get changed daily, and there are regular rooms as well as small kitchenettes. They have a pool and a large gazebo to sit in. It’s walkable to Skaha Lake and beach, with tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, walking paths, and a few fire pits. They’re replacing the windows while I’m here and taking care of other maintenance too. This isn’t a five-star resort, just a basic place that meets your needs.

I’m usually pretty particular about where I stay, and this was a bit outside my usual comfort zone, but I’m glad I tried it. The room was immaculate, the location is very close to the beach, and the service was proactive. We’ll be back. I’d accidentally booked the wrong date through a third-party site with a non-refundable policy. The booking site was hard to navigate, but the Empire Motel staff handled it directly. They moved my reservation, waived the cancellation fees, called me to confirm the new booking was secure, and even gave me a small discount for my mistake. Excellent service and a stress-free stay.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, and I’ll definitely stay here again. The rooms were very clean, and the staff kept cleaning the indoor and outdoor areas.

The owner was so kind and accommodating, and really went out of her way to make sure everything was nice and we had what we needed. She was so personable, it felt like being guests in her home. We were happy we found this place and booked a stay. The room was lovely, clean, and new. I liked having a fridge bigger than a beer fridge, plus a microwave. The pool was a nice size with lots of comfy loungers, and there was a grassy area with four or five barbecues and three gazebos with tables and chairs for sitting or eating. The motel is close to the beach and ideally located for everything. No complaints at all. I’d absolutely stay again. I LOVE Penticton. Highly recommended.
