Sandman Hotel Penticton

I was evacuated from my apartment building after a fire and stayed here for nearly two weeks. The hotel is older, but the people who run it are wonderful, friendly, and accommodating. They made a stressful time much easier, and I can’t say enough about them. If you need somewhere to unwind, this is it.

The staff were amazing, and the room and bathroom were clean. The location is great, with lots of good places to eat nearby, plus a Denny's next door. Still, the hotel felt outdated and small, with narrow spaces everywhere. We came from out of town to bike the KVR Trail, and getting our bikes into the room was awkward. The brown bathroom tiles looked straight out of the 70s. I’m not completely sure I’d stay again, but if this were the only place left, we would.

We spent Mother’s Day weekend at the Sandman in Penticton and had another incredible stay. Jen, Sam, and the whole team were welcoming at check-in, and the rooms were spotless. The pool and hot tub are clean, well maintained, and a great place to unwind after a busy day. My parents have stayed here for years, and the staff greet them so warmly when they arrive, it makes them feel like celebrities. We travelled with our four children, and every staff member treated them with kindness and patience, which means a lot when travelling as a family. The amenities are great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is second to none. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Penticton, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, family-friendly hotel with a great team.

We had a really good stay with our little kids. They loved the pool, and the tables in the atrium gave us somewhere to feed them without needing to sit in a restaurant. The pool, hot tub, and places to eat are all in the hotel's central atrium, which you don't see as often these days. It's an older building, but the staff keep it very clean and were friendly and helpful. The location worked well too, with fast food about a 7 minute walk away and downtown and Okanagan Lake beach within walking distance. Our one disappointment was that we didn't see Ogopogo.
