After nearly 25 hours on the road without sleep, this whole experience was the last straw. We were driving from Chapel Arm, NL to southern Ontario, and had called ahead to explain that we’d arrive early in the morning just to rest before carrying on. They assured us we could check in and sleep. About two hours before our expected 3 a.m. arrival, I called to confirm. The receptionist first insisted several times that there was no booking under our names. Only after my girlfriend asked whether it might be for the next day did she say, “oh yeah, we have you booked in for tomorrow 🤭”. We hadn’t booked it for that day, so that was their mistake. If my girlfriend hadn’t asked, we might never have been told about the booking for later and could have been charged for a room we’d been told didn’t exist. We explained everything again and asked if we could check in at 3 a.m. and leave at the usual 11 a.m. checkout. Then we found out there was no staff on site at all from midnight to 7 a.m., so checking in before 7 was impossible. That also seemed like a safety concern. When we tried to work something out, the receptionist sounded sarcastic and completely lacking in empathy. There wasn’t even a “sorry,” or any sign she cared how this affected us. Earlier, when I called to confirm, a random man had answered unprofessionally and without enthusiasm, cut me off to say, “yeah 1 sec I'll give you to someone who can answer that,” then talked in the background through most of my conversation with the receptionist. It made an already frustrating call worse. Thankfully, the Quality Inn in Moncton, NB was incredible and accommodated us so we wouldn’t have to sleep in the car. If you’re making the long drive through the province, just go there. I don’t know if this was normal practice, a mix-up tied to our booking situation, or one unprofessional and uncaring employee. Either way, we won’t be back. They told us one thing, then the opposite, and seemed not to care what happened to us.

We arrived on a Saturday night and there was still a room available. It was clean, and reception handled things quickly and efficiently. A perfect place to stop halfway through a road trip. I’ll definitely come back if I need to.
We forgot to book for a weekend visit to Plaster Rock, and Perth-Andover Motor Inn was the only place with rooms within an hour’s drive, apart from Best Western, which was charging near-usury surge rates of over $350. The room was clean and quiet, the staff were friendly, and the price was affordable. Recommended.
The beds were comfortable, and the room had been updated and was fairly clean. Check-in service was great. The floors, though, felt wet and greasy and were disgusting. I’m guessing the cleaning staff use the same dirty old water or cleaner throughout the place. I attached a picture to show how bad they were.
The room was spotless, the staff were kind, and the outdoor area was very well maintained. It would be practical to have picnic tables on the lawn for guests. The place is pet friendly.
