The lake is right at your doorstep, and there is lots to do nearby, from fishing and shopping to golfing. Our cottage was perfect, clean, cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed and then some. The kids loved the playground and the other activities. The owners made us feel so welcome and looked after. We'll absolutely return, and we're already excited for next summer! 🌞🔥😁🐟🌞
When our original cottage reservation fell through at the last minute, the manager quickly found us a great alternative and made sure our stay was perfect. The staff were incredibly hospitable, and the place had everything we needed for a fun, comfortable visit. A fantastic stay, highly recommended!
The sunrise was incredible if you're up early, and the quiet was broken only by birds and coyotes at night. The scenery made the short drive for groceries or dinner no big deal. My husband and I really needed to get away, and this was perfect. The cabin was cute and rustic, with everything we needed for the weekend. Just amazing. We'll definitely make it a regular spot, and maybe bring the rest of the family next time.
We stayed for a week in August 2020 in cottage 5, a 3 bedroom cottage. Each cottage had a good sized deck for outdoor dining and bbq. Ours was clean, with clean sheets covering the 2 sofas, and pillows provided in the bedrooms. The air conditioning and floor fans were welcome during a few really hot days, since opening all the windows still didn't cool the place enough. The resort is pretty basic: Wi-Fi, a small children's playground, docks, and boat rental are the only amenities. The satellite TV worked intermittently and Wi-Fi was inconsistent depending on where you were. We were there for the lake and surrounding area, so that didn't bother us much. The price and location are good. Only one cottage is actually lakefront, the 4 bedroom one. The rest are across the street, and getting to the docks means walking through the lakefront cottage's firepit area, which can feel awkward. That's the only reason we wouldn't stay again: most cottages aren't waterfront, and the one that is would have people walking through. Doo Doo's Bakery is worth a visit for her amazing butter tarts and the Kawartha's Dairy ice cream served there!
A peaceful place by the water for a relaxing family break from city life. The cottage was super clean, booking was quick, and we had an amazing experience. I'll definitely go back.
