The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and I liked that it was basic. The rooms aren't for someone expecting luxury on a trailer park budget, which suited me fine. I can't stand luxury, and it was a place to lay my head. I came because it welcomes pets, and they were accommodating on the phone. At check-in, the door chimes rang but nobody was around. I waited about five minutes, rang the desk bell, then waited another five before a man came from the restaurant area. He walked right past without acknowledging me. A few minutes later I said I was the guy from the phone, but he seemed confused. He spoke less than two words of English, and apparently called his brother seven or eight times to interpret the whole transaction. At one point he handed me his cell phone so I could speak to his brother. I was extremely offended by what felt like a disregard for our language, but I booked anyway. They didn't ask for my credit card details, but took a photo of my driver's license, which I found curious. I also had to explain how to use the wireless payment terminal because the attendant had no idea.
