Shorewater Resort

The unit was a good size, had a full kitchen, and the waterfront location was excellent. The bed, though, was old and worn out, and I didn’t sleep well. Laundry hours didn’t match what the door said, and housekeeping had filled the machines. I called the help desk on Monday and didn’t get a call back until Friday, four days later. Very poor service.

Our family of five stayed in unit 206 in mid August, and the views were spectacular. The property was clean and tidy, and the unit had all the amenities we needed, from small shampoo and conditioner bottles to kitchen supplies. There’s an indoor laundry room, but bring coins for the machines. The beds were comfortable, and this end unit is closer to the beach, which was great for the kids. I think it far exceeds other rooms we’ve stayed in before, and it’s clearly been well cared for.

We keep choosing unit 206 when we come back, and it’s been clean and comfortable every time. It’s a lovely upper-floor end unit, with a beach view from the living room that’s hard to beat. The shore here feels quieter than the stretch closer to town, and we often spot marine life from the deck. There’s plenty to cook with in the unit, and Qualicum foods is about a five-minute drive away for groceries. Nearby restaurants are an easy option too. It’s a great fit for quiet downtime or family time, and we look forward to returning every year.

Room 206 is still our first pick after 20 years of coming to the Shorewater Resort. Being an end unit makes it especially handy with kids, and the beach is right there. Shops, restaurants, and pretty much anything else we need are close by. The room is clean and cozy, with everything our family needs, and we always feel at home.
