We had no complaints during our three-night stay. The room was clean and the bed was good, and the location was perfect, with a bus stop right at the corner. There’s laundry on the premises, too. The woman at reception was very friendly and got us checked in quickly. I’d strongly recommend it and would book again if I return to Quebec.

A stain on the bedsheet and a faint electric-current sound in the wall beside the bed at night were the only minor issues, even though I hadn’t plugged anything into the outlet. The location is very good, staff are friendly, and it’s great value. Aside from those cleanliness and comfort concerns, everything was very good.

The mattress was the only downside for me, since I’m used to a high-quality one at home. It might bother some people, but I still thought this was a great place to stay. It was clean and cheap, with air conditioning, good pillows and enough free parking spaces. I didn’t hear anyone at night, and the staff were sympathetic. Very good overall.

It was exactly what I expected: a bed for the night and a fridge to keep my beer cold. I booked the single-bed suite with a three-piece bathroom for two nights, knowing it was just a place to lay my head. Other rooms have different amenities. The building is older and a bit crooked, a WYSWYG kind of stay. The location is great, about a 30-minute walk to the Citadel and 40 minutes to Old Town. There’s a nearby boulangerie and plenty of citizens and shops that are friendly to English speakers. The bus to downtown takes 10 minutes and costs $4 per person, one way.
