B&B La Bedondaine

The room was clean, and the bed was warm and comfortable. It was a quiet neighborhood, and the owner was kind and helpful. Breakfast was generous: fresh fruit, pancake, bread, butter, yogurt, fresh juice, and milk, with a self-help coffee machine. The nearest supermarket is a 15-minutes walk away, and good restaurants are on streets about 20 minutes away on foot. Bus stations are easy to reach, and it's a 40 minutes bus ride to old town of Quebec.

Breakfast was fine, with tasty hot and cold choices, though it was served in the basement kitchen. At the B&Bs I've visited, breakfast is usually in the main dining room. The hosts have made their basement into guest rooms. Everything is clean, neat, and nicely decorated, but it still feels like a basement: the space is super tiny, the ceilings are very low, and noises from upstairs carry through. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable.

They were so gracious, offering to make us breakfast and keeping up a friendly conversation while serving the meal. The host was very friendly, and the location was great. Our room was extremely clean and cozy, with a private bathroom and all the necessary amenities. Couldn't have asked for better hospitality. Highly recommend.

A very friendly host and a really good breakfast. Quebec Oldtown is a 10 minute drive away. Would recommend!
