There was no coffee available, and when we tried to book breakfast, no one responded. Service was completely absent. The room smelled like old socks, and the windows couldn’t be opened. Its bathroom door wouldn’t close or lock properly, and parts of the shower grout were covered with some kind of tape. The place felt like a shabby mess. The entrance steps seemed unsafe, vinyl sheeting was taped over the hallway floor, and red tape was holding down the stair carpet. Don’t go near this place.

Quiet, spacious, clean and central. It felt secure and organized, with a warm, cozy, comfortable, home-away-from-home feel and lots of historical character. The thoughtful touches were nice too. You do need to be able to manage stairs. A boiler and instant coffee in the room would have made this five stars. I couldn’t figure out how the coffee machine in the hall worked or where the coffee was.

Having a full kitchen made meals much easier for us, especially with young children. The room was roomy and clean, and the location was great. The historic property still has some original decor, though a few updates or small renovations would help. It was still worth the price, and I’d recommend staying here.

The breakfast was a real highlight. The woman who served us was wonderful and made it to suit our preferences. For an affordable place with breakfast, I thought it was definitely worth the price. It’s quiet, with a little vintage French decor, and right in the heart of Quebec, so it would be a nice base for exploring if the weather cooperates. Parking was the one issue we had. Otherwise, it was really good.

We liked the quick replies from the hosts, and the room was comfortable and spacious. The B&B is a lovely little place in a good location. The walls are VERY thin, though, so noise carries easily.
