That rooftop patio has one of the best views in Old Quebec, and the location is hard to beat for starting or ending a day there. The old building has a great blend of rustic original features and modern touches throughout the floors, stairs, shared spaces, rooms, and bathrooms. I’d stay again in a heartbeat, I’d live here if I could. Parking is the one thing that keeps it from being 5+ stars.

For my second stay, I rented the whole Gîte Côte de la Montagne with nine friends for my bachelorette, and we had the best trip. The building is breathtaking, and the location in le vieux Qubec could hardly be better. I recommend it to everyone I know. To book a room, call the hotel Sainte-Anne. Parking is a frequent concern in the reviews, but you shouldn’t expect parking at your accommodation anywhere in Vieux Quebec. There’s a public lot about a three-minute walk away, at Stationnement Indigo Québec QU031 - Place Champlain.

The rooms are huge, and being right above the popcorn place means it always smells great. We spent one night here last week after we couldn’t extend our two-night stay at the sister hotel, saint Anne. The location is great, and the shared full kitchen could be useful. We were on the second floor, though, and it was too loud. The floors and walls are really thin, so light sleepers should know that my earplugs came in handy. The top floor might be amazing.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and my wife and I really enjoyed staying here. Right by Quartier Petit Champlain, it’s perfectly placed for Old Quebec City, and the rooms are modern and extremely comfortable.

Ask for the loft if you can. It’s amazing, with a patio overlooking the river and Château Frontenac, plus a private bedroom on a mezzanine above the living room. The location is ideal, between Upper-Town and Lower-Town in the Old City. These rooms are in an old building and mostly rented through AirBnb, so don’t expect five-star hotel amenities, but it’s more than satisfactory for a trip with friends, as a couple, or with family.
