Hotel Quartier, an Ascend Collection Hotel

It takes about 20 minutes by car to get downtown, and the hotel stay was incredible. Breakfast had a wonderful range of buffet choices, and the staff were so kind. A big thank you to Lindsey at reception and the girl from the buffet for the exceptional customer service. I’ll definitely go back.

The place was cozy and quiet, and the front desk made things straightforward for us coming from British Columbia and Ontario. We tried the pool, and the gym was cozy too. Breakfast was excellent, and everything the hotel offered worked perfectly for our lovely stay. Thanks for making it memorable. I’d recommend it and come back! 💚💚💚

The front desk receptionist was kind and gave us tips on nearby places to visit and good restaurants for local food. Everything was close by, including Old Quebec. Our room had all the amenities we needed and the service was really good. Breakfast was included and decent, though we were hoping for fresh fruit. I’d never been to Quebec before and stayed for two days. It turned out even better than expected, and I was so happy with the visit. 😊

I really enjoyed Quebec City, but next time I’ll stay somewhere else. The hotel looks quite nice at first, the accommodation wasn’t too bad, and the hot breakfast was complimentary, but the small problems added up. Our son slept on the sofa bed, which had a thin, uncomfortable mattress. We thought an extra blanket under the sheet might help, but the only spare one in the room was already being used as his blanket. The front desk called back to say there were no extras anywhere in the fully booked hotel. My husband went down to ask again, and after they checked the closet on another floor, a kind employee found blankets in the supply closet on ours. It felt like the front desk dismissed us at first, and the request only got resolved after we pushed. The room was serviced only once during our three-day stay. We left early the first day and made sure the do-not-disturb tag wasn’t on the door, but at 11:30 pm we returned to an untouched room. The front desk said we must have put the tag up. Other reviews suggest this happens repeatedly. The tub jets and inside of the coffee machine were dirty. Several outlets and the USB port didn’t seem to work well, and some plugs were so loose that anything connected fell out. We asked for a plate to heat leftovers in the room’s microwave and were told no. I understand they don’t want breakfast plates to go missing, but they could keep paper plates and plastic cutlery for guests or suggest where to get them instead of just saying no.
