Tam was such a gem during my two-night stay. She was courteous and went out of her way to help, including arranging extra cleaning and giving clear instructions for early check-in and check-out. The basement suite was clean, matched the listing, and had everything I needed plus a little more. The hotel is within walking distance of the main attractions, with a lovely view of the St. Lawrence River. Just know the entrance is small if you're arriving with lots of luggage, and the street is steep, so getting there can be a quick workout. I'd happily stay again.

The staff were so accommodating on our family trip, setting up a crib-playpen with blankets for our five-month-old and letting us keep the stroller in the office. They were helpful whenever we needed anything. Our stay made it easy to enjoy the Christmas markets and everything Quebec City has to offer. The hotel has old-world boutique charm, with a quirky spiral staircase and lovely modern bathrooms. We also appreciated the in-room coffee and tea and the supplies in the mini fridge. Merci beaucoup to everyone at the Manoir sur le cap!

The downtown location was perfect for sightseeing, and the price was very good. It's an old, small hotel, so the rooms are compact, but they were totally fine for me. I had no trouble with the bed, despite what some people have said. Parking is available for C$25 a day, about a three-minute walk away.

The location is the best thing here, just one block from the Chateau Frontenac and one from the boardwalk. The bed was very comfortable, and there were lots of USB outlets and places to plug things in. We also had a flat-screen TV, a fridge, and a Keurig coffee machine. The room was clean when we arrived, but cold. Since winter was just starting, I wish they'd turned on the heat before we got there. The furniture looks like it came from a thrift store, which makes the room feel shabby, and the dark brown ceiling tiles don't suit the historic area. There was no maid service, so the bed wasn't made and the coffee supplies weren't replenished.

We found the hotel quiet and felt safe, even though it's right in the middle of everything. The staff were kind and accommodating, too. Our room had two queen beds for three people, and it was clean, comfortable, and just the right size, with everything we needed. Highly recommend!
