Burnt Cape Cabins

The view was lovely, and there was a little spot by the fire pit with wood supplied. We had a great stay at burnt cape cabins and wished we could have stayed longer. The cabin was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and BBQ. The store across the road has a few basics for when you need something quickly, though the grocery stores in st. Anthony are 20 minutes away. The woman at the check-in store was friendly and helpful, but, as it's a small town, the store closes for an hour at supper. This was our favourite stop on our trip across Newfoundland. If you're near Raleigh, I'd recommend it, especially if you like tidy cabins by the water.

It was easy to get to L'Anse Aux Meadows from the cabin, and St. Anthony is also fairly close. We found the place clean and had everything we needed. The mattress could use replacing, but that was my only complaint. When we had a question, the owner replied right away, so that went smoothly. We had a good stay.

The view was stunning, and the cabin itself felt cozy. The internet we were told would be available wasn't working, and I couldn't get hold of anyone. To be fair, they'd only just opened for the season and we booked last minute. Missing the NHL playoffs wasn't going to kill me, lol.

We stayed in the house on our second visit and it was spotless, had everything we needed, and felt like home. The Bay view is lovely, and the spot between L'Anse aux Meadows and St. Anthony worked well as a base for exploring. The restaurant was closed because they didn't have a cook, which was a shame since we'd enjoyed the food there last time. We cooked at the house instead and tried a few other places nearby. We'll definitely stay here again when we're back in the area.
